7th and 6th streets are very near the centre of town but on the wrong side of the tracks. Hotel surrounds are riddled with drug users, drunks and homeless, some sane many not. It is what it is, but many would feel uncomfortable, and some frightened. I was pan-handeled a lot and gave when moved to. So, walk down Mission Street and enter Market Street from 5th or 4th streets. 7th is ok, but 6th from Mission to Market is to be avoided. My room was first floor and street side, very noisy, take earplugs.

During my Christmas stay, I loved the fact that the hotel provided complimentary WiFi, allowing me to stay connected with my loved ones. The location of the hotel was also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and key attractions in the city. I enjoyed the comfortable beds, which provided a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring.

I was disappointed by the neighborhood surrounding the hotel. It was not the safest area, with a high number of homeless people and drug users.

The Good Hotel offers excellent bikes which can be used for free. An excellent way to see the city in a different way.
